How to make ?
- First, shred potatoes after peeling the skin out.
- Rinse them thoroughly with colander to remove starch.
- Squeeze the extra water out, pat dry the potatoes using paper towel.
- Next, spread out on microwavable plate and cook for 2 minutes on high to dry out.
- This step makes hash browns turn crisper when cooked.
- Last, spread the potatoes on to oiled hot cast iron skillet with salt and pepper. Press the potatoes slightly with back of spatula. Let the flame be in medium low.
- cook till golden brown crust forĀ about 13-15 minutes on each side.
