Brussels sprouts in oven is an easy and quick side dish. Brussels sprouts are the little cabbage like vegetable. I am always tempted to grab these small cute sprouts in farmers market.

Moreover, it doesnt take much time to simply pop them in to oven and have a tasty side dish ready in less than 20 minutes.
How To Oven Roast?
You have to slice off the stemmed end and then slice them in half, length-wise. Place them on a large baking sheet without overcrowding them. Then drizzle with oil and seasoning of your choice. I have roasted in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sometimes I add cheese or maple syrup. I simply love all the combinations. Place them in oven and roast.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels Sprouts wash, trim and cut
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1⁄2 tsp garlic powder/fresh garlic
Instructions
- Combine salt, garlic powder to brussels sprouts. Drizzle olive oil to it
- Preheat oven to 425 degree. Place the pan or tray in the oven taking care not to over crowd the sprouts.
- It need not be flipped half way .But if you prefer flip it. It takes 15- 18 minutes to get roasted. I add pepper after roasting.
Recipe Notes
The key to the best roasted vegetables is the high temperature and spacing them out on the tray or pan. Overcrowding will make it soft.
Variations
- Parmesan Brussel sprouts: For the above recipe add 3 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese(powdered or fresh shredded cheese) and bake.
- Maple Roasted Brussel sprouts: For the above recipe add 2 Tablespoons of maple syrup and bake.
